Arya Pandjalu (Bandung, 1976) studied graphic art at the Indonesian Arts Institute in Yogyakarta. The artist collaborated with Farhan Siki as well as other Indonesian artists to the collective production: Apotik Komik (Comics Apothecary), which played an important role in the Yogyakarta street art movements of the 90’s, facing urban, political, and social issues. Arya’s performances and videos were showcased within numerous group exhibitions both in Southeast Asia and abroad (Tokyo, Darwin, Singapore, San Francisco, Lasendra, Bratislava, and Vienna etc.). The artist extensively collaborated with Belgium artist Sara Nuytemans, working between Den Haag and Yogjakarta, on the video project Birdprayers. In 2008, Biasa ArtSpace presented his works together with Samuel Indratma and Farhan Siki in an exhibition entitled Open Daily.
